The 21st Century
Democrats ( hereafter referred to as the Conservative
Democrats or the CDs) and under the leadership of Dorian de Braam
shall consist of like minded people who believe that politicians
should emanate from a sense of moral duty and not egocentric ambition
. The Conservative Democrats align their policies with a democratic
concept of politics that relates to the 21st Century and adheres
to civilised political ideas which includes the following political
philosophies :-
1. The Conservative
Democrats believe that the existing system of party politics is
a political retrograde system that will prevent mature politics
from evolving from the 19th and 20th Century into the 21st century
.
2. The Conservative
Democrats believe that women politicians are the most significant
gender in relation to 21st Century Politics and intend to seek candidates
according to this belief.
3. The Conservative Democrats align themselves to policies which
relate to what is right for the problems of individuals and groups
of people and disregard the party policy solutions which sustains
the old political system.
4. The Conservative
Democrats adhere to the European vision and the involvement of the
UK as a way forward which includes the Euro Dollar as being the
best fiscal route to take, if the UK is to remain as a fully active
member state of the European Community .
5. The Conservative
Democrats will uphold the policy that Nationalism has its values
as a cherished memory and also values for Sports and games but if
allowed to obscure the political life of the nation
will restrict the natural progress of men and women and the maturation
of 21st century politics, essential for the next stage of the development
of world politics.
6. The Conservative
Democrats believe that the way forward is the sincere belief that
multi- racial politics in the UK is the best way of interpreting
the past with the future in the European political arena .
7. The Conservative
Democrats uphold the belief that age is no valid reason to be denied
the same rights as people belonging to younger groups.
8. The Conservative
Democrats believe in the rights of all groups and the philosophy
that all such groups should have their rights respected as they
must respect the rights of all contemporary groups in the same way.
9. The Conservative
Democrats believe that all national politics should strive towards
global politics with the installation of an efficacious organisation
which is dedicated to world peace and that this organisation should
operate without recourse to armies and bellicose activities and
war .
10. The Conservative
Democrats believe that Green policies are the essential threads
which must weave through all 21st century politics and that such
policies must ultimately exclude the use of Nuclear produced electricity
with a wind down of nuclear power and the positive development of
alternative sources of electricity and propulsion by internal combustion.
11. The Conservative
Democrats will strive to modernise and reform the legal system and
the law where it fails the necessities and requirements of modern
21st Century Political vision.
12. The Conservative
Democrats believe that political flexibility is the essence of 21st
century politics and that policies must never become so entrenched
that essential changes cannot be incorporated into policies which
have worked in the past but have become inappropriate to continue
with into the future.
13. The Conservative
Democrats believe that English Democracy can be eroded and damaged
by the unilateral control and the flawed judgement of a Prime Minister,
an executive controlled bureaucracy and unelected advisors whose
influence impose prejudicial political influences and that every
effort should be made to oppose such undemocratic oligarchical style
political manipulations if they prove to be detrimental to the overall
structure of the British democracy .
14. The Conservative
Democrats believe that certain political decisions such as the declaring
War, should only be permitted after a general referendum is held
and that such referendum should be held if the result of such decisions
taken without a referendum might, if flawed , be damaging to the
political structure of England and the people whom the government
is supposed to represent .
15. The Conservative
Democrats believe that although the British constitution is unwritten,
(apart from the Magna Carta of 1215 signed at Runnymede and the
Bill of Rights drafted in1689 ) with the emerging different political
environment evolving in the 21st century, a written constitution
which deals with certain important aspects of government, should
be drafted and ratified by parliament which would prevent unilateral
decisions being taken by a Prime Minister and curtail his ability
to utilise the Royal Prerogative against the wishes of the people
in a manner which has no place in the democracy which the English
parliament represents.
